Bad Laasphe Long day, but fun with the roof down a lot Stopped for lunch at Landhaus Stuben in Lohne - 1 minute off the autobahn Excellent prawns and brilliant service - possibly the best meal of the trip GPS then found the beautiful Jagdhof Glashutte hotel easily |

Iphofen Jehntkeller Hotel This was a hotel and wine house of the Romantic group Very nice unpretentious restaurant Excellent Franken wine - the white is best |
Day 3
Tonbach Hotel Traube Tonbach Again 3 cheers for GPS We arrived without a booking on a Friday night, managed to get a pleasant room and a table at their second best restaurant Michelin gives it 2nd best in Germany - the same hotel also has the best but we couldn't get in Food was nice but more flashy than yummy |
We had intended to stay at Arras in preparation for the Calais-Dover booking. However the weather was awful so we tipped up at 4pm at Calais and got on a 4.45pm crossing
Stayed the last night in London to see family and then home in the sunshine to Shropshire
