Image counter
The image counter is supposed to be resettable in Nikon Capture (1.1)

OK so the thimbnail is set to zero but the image counter rolls on

I have tried to make it so that the image counter restarts with each new card or microdrive - to no avail

Getting more pix in burst mode
If you want to take machine gun pix AND get autofocus before release set the burst conter to 1

This means that you can exploit the buffer without worrying about each picture being in focus - tricky but it works!
